Fortuna

Fortuna is a 33 metre classic Schooner perfect for a multi-generational family gulet holiday in Croatia. She was the first Schooner available for charter in the Adratic back in 2000. Under sails she is a capable performer at 11 knots, while under engine she can comfortably take you where you want to go at 9 knots. Sleeping up to 14 guests, she is ideal for a large family or two families wanting to spend a holiday together. Your days will be spend sailing, swimming, snorkelling, exploring the local islands, fishing, doing water sports, or simply relaxing and reading a book. 

Of its six ship-shape cabins, all decked in navy and off -white, two have standard 210x180cm berths, while those in the stern have mattresses more than 2m wide. Three more cabins are twin bedded with 200x60cm berths. All have ensuite shower rooms, miracles of compactness with plentiful hot water and proper pressure. On the exterior, she has been completely re-varnished with all repairs done considerately to retain the charm of such a charming Schooner. On the aft deck you will find a U shaped dining table for 14 guests and a full length sofa. She is also equipped with a water maker so you do not have to visit marinas at all during your week on board. For sun-worshippers there is plenty of space forward with a very comfortable sunbeds area. She is skippered by Mirna and Tonci, aided by a first mate and a cook. 

All of Fortuna's sails are fully functional and the crew are professional sailors. You can help the crew with hoisting the sails and helming - highly recommended.

She is based in Zadar, but mainly cruises between Split and Dubrovnik during the summer.

My family and I absolutely loved every minute of our trip on the Fortuna, wouldn’t change a thing!. The boat itself is amazing, great seating areas and really comfortable beds, also the cabin bathrooms were fantastic, best shower we have ever had on a boat!!  Really enjoyed getting to know Mirna, Tongi and Steepa (spelling??) and they were fantastic hosts and we knew we were in safe hands.  We bombarded Mirna with questions about Croatia which she happily answered and she really gave us an insight into life in Croatia and its history.  All our shore trips were well organised and Mirna also gave us great suggestions as to what to do and see and where to eat.  We were totally amazed at the wonderful food being prepared in the kitchen by Stanca, every day something different and really delicious and we looked forward to each meal. So very happy we chose to charter the Fortuna with Sail Dalmatia for our Croatia trip, all arrangements done by you were excellent and Fortuna is a very special boat with an exceptional crew.  It was a very memorable family holiday and we would absolutely recommend it to others.
