Having professional skippers and brokers in our team enables us to make our own judgements when comes to inspecting and testing the boats. Our view is very often different from the owner's view. For example, we have been invited onboard a 'luxury' gulet that was very old, with a poor AC system, synthetic teak deck (this is a cheap material that requires no maintenance and burns your feet when you walk on it in super-hot summer months), shabby upholstery, smelly cabins and a lengthy list of poor items, yet the owner still insisted he had a luxury gulet. This is unfortunately a growing problem in Croatia. Very often the clients are misled which of course leads to a great disappointment. We thoroughly inspect all boats we feature in our portfolio and we would never suggest a boat to our clients that does not meet our standards. Other brokers happily copy information from our website and use it as a reference but it takes much more to organise a successful charter than simply passing the boat information onto the clients. Many of the captains and yacht owners are our close friends and we have sailed together many times in the past, this long term standing relationship built on years of mutual support and trust is, amongst many other elements, what guarantees the best possible experience for Sail Dalmatia guests.
